This symbolic language creates a shared understanding within the community. When someone says, “The Lord gave me a breakthrough,” the congregation immediately understands the emotional and spiritual weight behind that statement.
They know it refers to a moment of release, victory, or divine intervention. This shared vocabulary strengthens unity and reinforces the community’s interpretive framework.
Because Apostolic language is symbolic, it shapes how Scripture is read and preached. A passage about “the flesh” is not interpreted as a theological category but as a real spiritual threat. A verse about “the world” is not seen as a cultural reference but as a warning against spiritual danger.
This symbolic interpretation gives Apostolic preaching its intensity and urgency.
