Scripture Reveals God

The first and greatest purpose of Scripture is revelation—God making Himself known.

Key Scriptures

Creation reveals God generally. Scripture reveals God specifically:

• His nature
• His character
• His holiness
• His mercy
• His plan
• His will

Without Scripture, humanity would have only a vague awareness of God. Through Scripture, we know Him personally and truthfully.
