Because Scripture is inspired and authoritative, it becomes the supreme standard for:

• Doctrine
• Morality
• Worship
• Church government
• Christian living

Key Scripture

• “To the law and to the testimony…” (Isaiah 8:20)
• “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word…” (Matthew 4:4)

Jesus Himself appealed to Scripture as the final authority, saying repeatedly:

“It is written…”

The apostles did the same.

The early Church did the same.

The modern Church must do the same.
